Since I am unable to pick up the camera in my spare time away from the studio, I decided to go through my hard drive for any tidbits that might be of interest to the community. Under ordinary circumstances the only wild animals I would be photographing would be rampant 2 year olds with the decibel shrill of an F-16 on take off. It is too bad that Olan Mills doesn't issue us a pair of tarmack earmuffs for such occasions. On with the story of these masked 'varmits', robbing the kitty pantry of their delectable morsals. I had to do some tweaking on this image due to the distance, mixed lighting sources and a big chunk of dirty glass. After the shot, I immediately attempted to run them off. The one on the left lifted up on his haunches to inform me that they would be staying for dessert. At 3am, I am in my boxers and T shirt, pelting these 'coons with rubber cat toys and several fly swatters. The battle raged on for a good 5 minutes, until all of the cat food was gone. They marched off in single file back into the wooded area of the yard. I could swear that they gave me the finger upon their dismissal. Mother nature can really be cruel.
